Arrival in the Holy Land

And God said )vaYomer( to Abram: Go out of your country, and from your birthplace, and from your father’s home, to the Land I shall show you (ar’eka).                                              Genesis 12:1
The commentators raise the question of the fact that we do not find the verse telling us that God actually showed Abram the land which was his destination.
My father explained that when a Jew reaches the Land of Israel he/she should feel the sanctity and appreciate being in the Holy Land without having to be told that they are in the Holy Land.
Immediately upon arrival in Israel, Abram our father felt the atmosphere of sanctity and purity which does not exist outside the Land.
